The Story

In the summer of 2015, my family and I were coming into our first full year of owning our own business. My parents lived on a small, 5 acre farm and we sold chicken and duck eggs as well as some other farm-style products at several local farmers markets.

As we grew the business, we started adding/dreaming up other products to our farm shop. My dad talked about getting goats and selling goats milk. That gave me the idea to actually make goats milk candles in vintage containers. I started buying as many containers as I could find and dreaming up ideas to launch the product.

Fast forward to many months and years later, a large move and several other things happened that caused us to slowly close up our business for good. That happened before the launch of the candles and before the purchase of the goats. So, I was left with boxes of vintage containers and an idea.

As I’m sure many can relate, life happened and the boxes and dream got dusty. Then, in 2019, I felt so creatively stifled in my day job and I needed a creative outlet. That’s when I remembered my box of vintage containers and I decided to take the plunge. I purchased more materials and started learning all I could about candle making. The rest, as literally everyone says…is history.
